Compete in real time against your friends
1217 Pokémon
PokeVS is a free, real-time multiplayer Pokémon trivia game you play directly in your browser — no download, no account, and nothing to install. Create a room, share the link with friends, and compete live across all 1,217 Pokémon, from the original 151 to the newest Paldean additions. Every round is timed and scored in real time, so it plays more like a live quiz show than a slow back-and-forth.
Create a room and share the link or room code with your friends — anyone can join from their own phone or computer, no sign-up needed. Pick one or more of the 8 game modes below, or chain several together into a longer Marathon match, and the host starts the round whenever everyone's ready. Playing alone or short a few friends? Fill the empty seats with bots set to Easy, Medium, Hard, or Extreme difficulty, so you can still get a full match going.
PokeVS has 8 distinct ways to test how well you actually know Pokémon, each drawing on a different kind of knowledge — from raw memory to sound recognition to visual recall. See the full breakdown of each mode further down this page.
PokeVS is fully translated and playable in English, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese — Pokémon names, type names, and every prompt adapt to whichever language each player has selected, even mid-match.
PokeVS is an independent, fan-made project built and maintained by a solo developer (hi, I'm Mobu) who wanted an easy way to actually play trivia live with friends instead of just texting each other questions back and forth. It's still actively developed — new modes, languages, and fixes ship regularly, see the changelog for what's new — and it stays free to play, supported by optional donations rather than a paywall. PokeVS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company; all Pokémon names and data are used for trivia purposes only.
